Mtibwa Sugar 2-1 Ruvu Shooting
Free scoring Ugandan midfielder Boban Bogere Zirintusa scored twice as Mtibwa Sugar edged Ruvu Shooting 2-1 to end the 2019/2020 Vodacom Premier League season on a high.
Zirintusa netted twice in the 51st and 65th minutes of the second half to guide Mtibwa Sugar to an emphatic victory at home on Sunday evening.
Mohamed Sadat had put Ruvu Shooting in the lead 35 minutes into the game but his early strike turned into a mere consolation at Gairo Stadium.
This was Zirintusa’s second brace for the season following his first one that came during their 3-1 win against Singida United.
The victory ensured that Mtibwa Sugar ended the campaign on 45 points in the 14th position on the 20-team table garnered from 38 games.

Elsewhere, Uganda Cranes right back Nicholas Wadada played full-time as Azam FC played to a 2-2 draw with Tanzania Prisons finishing the season with 70 points in the third.
Azam FC won’t feature in next season’s CAF Champions league having finished, two points behind second placed rivals Yanga Africans who had a slim 1-0 win over Lipuli.
Simba SC won the Vodacom Premier League Championship with 88 points from 38 matches while Singida United, Ndanda and Lipuli were relegated.
