Youthful goalkeeper Sammon Oloka has joined 2006 Uganda Premier League winners, Police FC from Third division side Lukaya Town Council.
He joins Police on a three-year contract as a replacement for departed Davis Mutebi who joined BUL FC for the next two years.
The 23-year old lanky shot stopper will now compete for the starting slot in goal with another off-season recruit in Tom Ikara who came in as a free agent.
“I really feel great joining Police Football Club. It was one of my aspirations to play in the top league. I am going to give it my best and the team should expect a good performance,” said Oloka after penning a three-year deal with the Cops.
Police FC has been among the most active sides in the ongoing transfer window having signed midfielder Tony Mawejje, left back Eric Ssenjobe, defender Hassan Mohamood and goalkeeper Ikara.
The Abdallah Mubiru coached side has also already renewed contracts for attackers Johnson Odong, Musa Matovu, midfielders Mubarak Nsubuga, Yusuf Ssozi, Bashir Kabuye, and defender Denis Rukundo.
However, the Lugogo outfit has lost key players in winger Pius Kaggwa (Wakiso Giants) and Ikara Tom (BUL FC).
