Youth Convention to Discuss Peaceful Co-Existence Between Devine Faiths

Members of Parliament have requested the Ministry of Finance for additional funding to the inistry of Health to fight the Hepatitis B scourge that is affecting different parts of the country.

“The Ministry of Health should be provided with all the necessary funds to acquire the necessary vaccines and medicine,” Hon. Bitekyerezo said.

The Minister of State for Primary Healthcare, Hon. Sarah Opendi said the first batch of vaccines had been released to the hospitals but added funds were not enough to cover all the health units.

The Speaker, Rt.Hon. Rebecca Kadaga urged the Ministry of Finance to provide the necessary funding to curb the outbreak of Hepatitis B.

The Minister of Finance, Hon. Matia Kasaija promised to look for any funds available to handle the situation.

“We shall look for funds but in case we cannot, I will request Parliament to provide a supplementary budget for the vaccines and testing kits,” Kasaija said.
The independent presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi and the Democratic Party are finally set to sign a protocol this month detailing the responsibilities of each party in the 2016 election alliance.

However, when reached on phone, Mbabazi’s communication`s director, Ms. Josephine Mayanja Nkangi said the matter is critical and beyond her desk for a comment.

“If you have heard from the DP SG then I remain with nothing to say,” Ms. Nkangi said.

The DP ended up with Mbabazi when the opposition`s loose cooperation group The Democratic Alliance failed to agree on a single candidate to front for presidential elections.

Police was this morning approached by some relatives of Aine requesting to help in crosschecking the body to confirm if he is the one.

The police spokesperson Fred Enanga conformed to Chimpreports that they were still trying to identify the deceased.

“We are here at the mortuary with the relatives. We are trying to check if it’s him. I will get back to you,” said Enanga on phone.

Amama Mbabazi’s legal team had finalized the process of dragging the police force to court to compel them produce Mr Aine from detention.

Police on the other hand denied knowledge of his whereabouts and placed a Shs 20 million reward on any information leading to his arrest to answer to the Ntungamo violence charges.

Key note speakers include, Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga cathedral Miracle center and Sheik Mohammed Lugolobi.

Dr Frank SSebowa of Uganda Investment Authority and State Minister for health, Evelyn Anite will lecture on Social and Economic Youth empowerment.

The convention is organized by Imnaq Social development and Dawain in partnership with Aya group of companies.
