Youth Coaching Course is Good for Player Development, Says Musafiri

Sadolin Paints FC coach Abdul-Samadu Musafiri appreciates the FIFA member association youth coaching course currently on at the FUFA technical center in Njeru.

The course has been availed by FUFA in conjunction with the global body FIFA.

“There is a lot of difference when a coach handles a mature player and a junior who is growing up the ranks, cure ” Musafiri says. “The course explains a lot of that and teaches how to nurture, treat train and gradually graduate the player.”

About thirty coaches from premier league clubs, advice some second division and academies are part of the five day residential course that kicked off on Monday 8th August and runs to Friday 12th.

“The federation thought wisely to offer such education and I can propose next time to have school coaches involved because most of the young boys come from the Copa coca cola.”

He adds, “It will be easier for us at club levels to handle them when they had good background but all in all it’s a good initiative. We concentrated a lot on the older mature players.”

FlFA Instructor Sergei Aleinkov from Russia has been taking the coaches through the course that involves both theory and practical sessions.
