Patrick Besigye Keihwa the Kabale LC5 chairman said that Kabale locals will regret why they voted against him in the recently concluded NRM primaries.
Keihwa, who is the Vice President of Western Uganda in the Uganda Local Government Association in the September NRM primaries lost to Nelson Nshangabasheija, the Katuna town council LCIII chairman.
“I am sure the people of Kabale will regret why they voted me out. I have worked for the district and my developments can be witnessed by everyone” Keihwa said.
Keihwa sounded warning on Wednesday at the district budget conference.
In the meeting, Keihwa said he was wrongly accused of mismanaging government Covid-19 relief to the locals.
“Imagine! I wasn’t even the store keeper, nor was I the head of the district Covid-19 taskforce. But the propaganda was spread that I ate the relief posho and the people voted me out” Keihwa said.
As a cadre of the NRM Party, Keihwa said he decided not to contest as an independent, and expressed hope that the party would reward him for his loyalty.
He also vowed to continue doing his work as the district chairman until June next year when his term of office ends.
