R&B sensational singer Ykee Benda was the star of the night at the much anticipated grand finale of the ‘Live at fezah’ Night that took place Saturday at the Design Hub in Bugolobi.
Ykee Benda who was performing for the first time at the monthly event left no stone unturned as he took his fans on an emotional music roller-coaster performing some of his biggest hits.
He performed hit after hit of his tracks including ‘Singa’, ‘Superman’,’Malaika’ ‘Whistle,’ a collaboration he did with Remah Namakula, ‘Onabayo’ and ‘Maradona’ among others.
‘Maradona’ was the fans’ favorite as it got them on their feet with many cheering on and singing along till the stroke of midnight.
Evon on the other hand, did not disappoint as she took revellers through songs of her latest ‘New me Now’ album.
The talented singer took guests on a reggae journey with songs like ‘Kampala’, ‘Let Life,’ ‘Steps,’ ‘Poor Man’s shoes’ and ‘Dub me a Dub’ among others.
‘Live at Fezah’ is part of the ‘Johnnie Walker Highball’ platform, a monthly musical experience that showcases Kampala’s talented and most-admired music entertainers set in a studio-like setting that gives fans an intimate and up-close experience with their favourite artists.
Speaking to journalists during the event, Roger Agamba UBL’s International Spirits Brand Manager professed his excitement about the show and how it turned out.
“I cannot tell you how proud I am for what this stage has become, a space where we not only nature authentic Ugandan music but also provide a platform for show stopping performances like these that our consumers get to experience up close and personal,” said Roger Agamba.
Ykee joined the number of successful artists that have performed on the Fezah stage, including Cinderella Sanyu, Irene Ntale, Kenneth Mugabi and most recently the soulful Lillian Mbabazi.
After over 12 months of non-stop entertainment, the intimate show came to a spectacular end.
