Police in Kakumiro District is holding a woman for allegedly poisoning her husband.

Korodia was picked up Friday by police on allegations of poisoning her husband John Ssempu .
Ssempu died over the weekend after complaining of severe stomach pain.
Police says the suspect is believed to have used one of her children to lace the food with poison which they later served to Ssempu when he returned from work.
Police took samples of the deceased’s body parts to the government analytical laboratory for further forensic investigations.
Relatives were the permitted to proceed with burial arrangements as they wait for a comprehensive forensic report from the government.
DPC Nathan condemned such acts and calls for peaceful family conflict resolution.
