Five people have been arrested over the death of 72 year old man in Kabale.
The deceased has been identified as Jack Buturoha, a resident of Rugarama II village in Maziba sub county, who was allegedly murdered on Sunday night about 300 meters away from his home.
Among the arrested is the Buturoha’s wife as well as his son.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi regional police spokesman said the body of the deceased was on Monday morning found in a pool of blood, with a sharp object stuck in his neck and cuts on the head.
Maate says that Police was notified by the wife, one Joy Akampurira, 49, who was held to help the Police in investigations.
The couple according to Maate had had longstanding squabbles.
The day before the murder, the two were together in a bar at Ahambungo Trading Centre, but according to police, the woman upon interrogation could not properly account for how they separated and where she spent the night.
Akampurira was attained along with her son one Manzi Brave and three others Richard Kuribakanya, Robert Mwesigwa and Edison Turyakira.
