Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi also commonly known as Bobi Wine has implored President Yoweri Museveni to appreciate and accept peaceful political competitions in the country.
According to the MP, peaceful political competitions will help Uganda achieve and develop democracy for its citizens.
Bobi Wine made the revelation on Monday at Nangabo sub-county in Wakiso district during the burial of Stella Njuba.
At the function, Bobi Wine told mourners that he is not at loggerheads with Museveni.
‘‘ We are not in war with the president, we are all Ugandans engaging in peaceful politics,’’ Bobi said.
He added that ‘‘We are in the competition because it is constitutional and legal.’’
The artist turned politician also told mourners that if he is breaking any law, he’s ready to face the courts of law.
Bobi Wine asked the state house comptroller Ms Lucy Nakyobe to inform President Museveni that political opponents are not his enemies.
The legislator’s statement follows earlier new year’s remarks by President Museveni in which he stunned opposition politicians including people power pressure group.
The burial ceremony was also attended by army generals Elly Tumwine, the Security Minister and Henry Tumukunde, former Minister for Security.
Stella Njuba 56, succumbed to cancer last week and was a daughter to the Late Sam Kalega Njuba one of the NRM historical.
