Goodlyfe singer Weasel is the latest Ugandan to join a list of artists representing the country in the 2019 edition of Coke Studio Africa.
The “Mpa Love” hit maker has joined his collaborator King Saha at the Super Sport Studios in Nairobi where the production of the Coca-Cola Company flagship music show is taking place.
Weasel left Uganda for the Kenyan capital in November 03.
This will be the first time the one half of Goodlyfe joins the house without his singing partner Radio who passed on earlier this year after suffering severe injuries following a bar altercation.
The dynamic duo has previously represented the country in the 4th edition of Coke Studio in Nairobi.
This comes a few months after reports emerged that Coke Studio had bought the rights to 10 songs by Radio and Weasel to be re-done by top African artists.
According to the reports, the 10 songs would be shared among artists like Diamond Platinumz, Mr. Eazi, Wizkid, Davido, among others in order to maintain Radio’s legacy.
However, Coke Studio is yet to respond to the reports.
