KCCA Football Club gaffer Mike Hillary Mutebi indicated that midfield maestro, Nicholas Kasozi aka Iniesta’s whereabouts are unknown.
The 22yr old ex Synergy FC and SC Villa midfield workaholic has of recent been out of favour his club, KCCA, which has left fans fuming over the recent games. The lack of playing action has further cost him a slot on the recent CHAN squad.
The development saw KCCA fans questioning why Mutebi was fielding young players, Joseph Kafumbe and Herbert Achai ahead of Kasozi.
Mutebi, during the post-match press conference following a goalless draw with Proline at Lugogo on Tuesday, confirmed that the midfielder is not currently training with the club.
“We don’t know where Mr. Kasozi is and none of the club coaches or team doctors know his whereabouts,” Said Mutebi.
The KCCA tactician further said that the player left without informing the club and jokingly implied that the player was off to hunt for locusts.
“However, we hear that he is in Masaka. Hopefully he went to hunt for Locusts,” continued the gaffer.
Mutebi also suspects that the fear of competition for a starting place in the squad could be behind the reason behind the player’s decision.
Kasozi last featured for the Kasassiro Boys in the 2-1 away defeat to URA on 31st January, 2020 at the Arena of Visions, Bombo.
