Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobiwine, the president of the National Unity Platform party (NUP) has assured his supporters and all change seekers living abroad that his quest to take over leadership in Uganda is on the right track.
“Friends, the people of Uganda, old and young, men and women from; Acholi to Karamoja, Ankole to Kigezi, Sebei to Bugisu, Lango to Acholi, Busoga to Buganda and all other parts the country are ready for change,” he said.
Kyagulanyi made these remarks while addressing the Diaspora Community via Zoom on Sunday, September 13, 2020
“Many of them had given up hope to despair but thanks to the emergence of People Power, everywhere you go, people are saying mission 2021,” he added.
During the meeting, Bobi Wine went to highlight some of the issues he wishes to address once elected president next year.
“As the NUP, our promise to the country is renewed hope with a vision built on five points; people centered governance, equal access to quality services, inclusive economic development, land, agriculture and natural resources and lastly national security and international relations,” he noted
“National nominations of President and Members of Parliament and other leaderships are just few weeks away. As NUP, we are currently vetting prospective flag bearers to ensure that we not only have candidates for all leadership positions but also present the best candidate possible for each position.
