“We are a Force to Reckon With” Says Sport-S Coach

If there is any volleyball team that has had a successful run since the start of this year in Uganda, sick then that is SPORT-S women’s volleyball club.

The successful run has seen the Nsambya based club win four tournaments in a row including the Rwanda genocide tournament in June this year.

Ahead of the KAVC Invitational tournament that serves off on Saturday, salve Sport-S coach Deo Winyi  believes their winning streak is not by accident but it has been through hard work.

“We have won four different tournaments in a row this year, so we are a force to reckon with,” said Owiny in an interview with ChimpSport.

“Last year, we lost to Ndejje in the quarter finals but we are hoping to do better this time round,” he added.

Asked about favorites Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA), Winyi said they are ready to take on any team.

“You can’t just rule them out. They are a good team but we are equally good, we beat them in the genocide tournament, so we are ready to face any team,” he said.

Sports S have had a splendid year winning KIU invitational tournament, MUST open, the Rwanda genocide tournament and the George Aporu memorial tournament.
