The body of businessman Ompal Chadha, the proprietor of popular city hangout Wave Lounge Dance & Night Club located along Acacia Avenue in Kololo is set to be cremated, ChimpLyf has learnt.
Cremation is the disposal of a dad person’s body by burning it to ashes, typically after a funeral ceremony.
This very website reported how Chadha breathed his last yesterday (Monday 20th August 2018) morning at his home in Kololo after succumbing to a heart attack.
He is survived by a wife and one daughter who both live in Mumbai-India.
The decision to cremate his body was made by his distraught wife Gurprit Chadha who is believed to be on her way to Uganda with daughter Simran Kaur Chadha, according to a close family friend. “I guess his wife and daughter have left for Africa (Uganda)” reveals the source who preferred anonymity.
It is believed that his family went for cremation to avoid the long formalities involved in transporting the body back to his ancestral home, Maharashtra, Mumbai-India.
Besides owning the Kololo based hangout, Chadha was also a Telecom Engineer with a Diploma and MBA in Electronic & Telecommunication and Engineering from University of Mumbai.
He has also been working with Camusat Uganda as the Head of Managed Services along Mulwana Road since March 2014; responsible for Entire Network & Business Development of all Passive Infra Tower/Site Maintenance, Trouble Shooting, and Fueling of Passive Tower Network in Uganda.
Originally from Mumbai, Maharashtra, Chadha has been staying in Kampala living in Kololo next to Serena hotel behind MTN Towers.
