Soana Football Club have appointed Wasswa Bossa as their new head coach replacing Alex Isabirye.
The club confirmed on Tuesday that Bossa will take over reigns at the Kavumba based side as new coach on a two year deal.
“ We welcome legendary Wasswa Bossa as our new head coach after signing a two year contract agreement.” Confirmed the club on its social media outlets.
Bossa joins Soana FC from SC Villa where he served as coach last season guiding the team to second place in the league and also reaching the semifinals of the Uganda Cup.
However.the Jogoos were coy on renewing his contract that had run out at the end of the season hence seeking for a new job.
The former Uganda Cranes midfielder was delighted about the new job and promises full commitment.
“I’m happy for the chance to work at Soana FC. I believe it is one of the teams with good players and I want to promise to work to the best of my efforts.” He said.
Bossa who is also an assistant coach for the Uganda U23 side(Kobs) replaces Alex Isabirye who only returned midway last season for his second stint at the club.
Soana struggled to beat the drop last season and fought up to the final day to stay up.
The Club has in the previous years had several managerial changes. Some of the coaches that have managed Soana in the last two years include Isabirye, Charles Ayieko, Sam Ssimbwa and Shafik Bisaso among others.
