Express Football Club management has confirmed Richard Wasswa Bbosa as their head Coach on a permanent basis.
Bbosa had joined the Red Eagles midway through the 2019/2020 season on an interim basis replacing George Ssimwogerere who was relieved of his duties after a string of unconvincing results.
His permanent appointment was confirmed in a written statement signed by the club Chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka on Friday.
“Express Football Club board has agreed with head coach Wasswa Bossa to permanently assume the position. I call upon all our fans to support Coach Bbossa as he takes on the coaching role,” read the statement.
Bbosa came in to rescue the Wankulukuku side from facing relegation for the second time. He previously managed the side in 2014.
Upon his arrival at the Mutesa II Stadium, he helped Express FC finish 9th on the 16 team log with 31 points from 25 games.
The confirmation comes in the same week the club welcomed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in Isaac Mwesigwa who took over from Hamza Jjunju.
