Walusimbi Sent Off as Express, Onduparaka Share Spoils

Onduparaka 1-1 Express

Express Football Club captain Enock Walusimbi was sent off during his team’s 1-1 draw with Onduparaka in the Uganda Premier League at the Greenlight stadium, Arua.

Walusimbi’s send off came in the 67th minute after an intended handball to deny a goal bound shot before Kabon Living sent goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga the opposite side.

The visitors had earlier broken the deadlock after 10 minutes when Frank Kalanda scored from a penalty after being brought down in the area by defender Mahad Ajobe.

On Tuesday, Onduparaka will visit KCCA FC at the MTN Omondi stadium while Express will play against Vipers Sports Club at Wankulukuku.

Elsewhere, Brian Kayanja (59′), Brian Kalumba (65′) and an own goal from Douglas Muganga (76′) guided UPDF FC to a 3-0 home win against Busoga United at the Bombo barracks playground.

In Jinja, Kyetume and newly promoted Kitara Football Clubs played to a one all draw during a closely contested match played at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

“Lethal weapon” Brian Muruli Mayanja cancelled out a first half strike by Kyetume’s Sharif Saaka as the two sides shared the spoils in Jinja district.

Kitara will host UPDF FC at Kavumba recreation playground on Tuesday as Kyetume visits Wakiso Giants on Wednesday at Kyabaggu stadium.
