Wakiso seek revenge against Kyetume in top-table clash

Over a week ago, Kyetume FC ended Wakiso Giants’ fairy-tale run in the Uganda Cup with a penalty shoot-out victory in the quarterfinals.

The two second division giants go head to head on Thursday in a match day 15 fixture at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe, Jinja.

Definitely, Wakiso will seek for revenge on a ground that they’re yet to concede defeat and will want to go nine points clear in the promotion race.

Wakiso Giants head coach Ibrahim Kirya is well aware of the threat posed by his opponents but states that the team has got over the results from the previous clash.

“It will be a very tough game against a good side but we are ready and the target is to pick maximum points. What happened in the past games isn’t important,” the coach said.

The Purple Sharks will miss the services of Geoffrey Luutu (typhoid), Ashraf Ziraaba and Ali Magomu (injuries) but have been boosted by the timely recovery of trio Norman Ogik, Hakim Ssenkumba and Ayub Kisaliita.
