Young goalkeeper Derrick Emukule is an excited fellow after joining newly-promoted Uganda Premier League newcomers Wakiso Giants.
The keeper switched over from Ndejje University where he debuted at the beginning of the season.
Emukule produced several good performances in the second half of the season though was not able to save the university side from relegation.
The 22-year old fancies the chance given to him to continue shaping his career in the topflight.
“This is a great step in my career as a young goalkeeper. Last season was a learning process in the division and with such an ambitious club; I am looking forward to more development,” Emukule appreciated the chance.
“Being part of this project is already exciting and I will do all it takes to help the club achieve their goals. I believe Wakiso Giants is the perfect place for me to continue to develop as a player. I am looking forward to working with everyone, meeting the team and getting started.”
He becomes the first signing of the club in the summer transfer.
