Wakiso Giants Football Club has announced the signing of Masaza Cup product Edward “Satro” Satulo as their third recruit of the window.
Satro joins the Uganda Premier League side from Wobulenzi FC on a three-year contract until 2023 with an option to extension a further year.
He advances to the top flight as a product of the prestigious Masaza Cup tournament having previously featured for Gomba and Ssingo in the annual Championship.
The central defender won the competition on two occasions in 2017 and 2018 while playing for Gomba and Ssingo respectively.
Immediately after putting ink to dotted lines, Satro signaled readiness to play in the top division.
“It’s a big step in my career and it couldn’t come at a better time and club. I have won everything in Masaza Cup and feel ready for the challenge in the top division. I am still learning and believe am at the right place to continue my development as a player at an ambitious young club like Giants,” the player told Wakiso Giants website.
He added, “I know what a tough challenge it is but with the coaches, teammates and fans behind the team, I will do well.”
Satro comes into the Purple Sharks squad after fellow new signings in Owen Ibrahim Kasule and Pius Kaggwa.
