Hassan Waswa ‘Dazo’has extended his contract with second division side, Wakiso Giants, by three years.
The new contract will see the defender stay at the club at least up to June 2022 if everything remains constant.
“Wakiso Giants is delighted to announce that Hassan Wasswa Dazo has signed a new contract with the club that will keep him at the club until June 2022, with the option to extend for a further year,” the club announced.
Wasswa has been a key pillar in the side that is battling for promotion to the topflight, Uganda Premier League.
The defender joined the club after being dropped at KCCA FC following long spells in the sick bay. He says that signing the contract was one way of appreciating the club that picked him up and gave him a chance to rediscover his form.
“I am delighted to be continuing my progression with this fantastic club. They gave me a chance after a long injury play off and I want to repay their faith in me for the next couple of years,” Wasswa said.
Wakiso Giants currently lead the table in the FUFA Big League Rwenzori group with 37 points, six ahead of their closest rival, Kyetume FC with only three games to go.
