VVC, Sport-S Defend Aporu Tournament

VVC 3-1 Ndejje (Women)
Sport-S 3-1 UCU Doves (Men)

Vision Volleyball Camp and Sport-S defended their Dr. Aporu Akol memorial tournament trophies in Kumi over the weekend.

VVC only lost a single set enroute to the feat, cruising 3-1 past Ndejje Elites in the final.

VVC took the first set of the final 25-17 and followed it up with a 25-16 triumph in the second.

Ndejje pulled a set back after fighting to 25-16 in the third set to subject the eventual champions to their first set loss.

With Ndejje looking to maintain the momentum, VVC had to close it to avoid going into the decisive set.

They took the fourth set 25-18 to win the match and defend their title.

Hannington Nsubuga’s charges had eliminated pre-tournament favourites Nkumba Ladies in straight sets at the semifinal stage.

Ndejje defeated Sport-S 3-1 in the semis and the latter went on to finish third by beating Nkumba in straight sets in the third place playoff.

Sport-S men marched to the finals following two hard fought 3-2 victories over Matrixx and Nemostars in the quarters and semis respectively.

They beat UCU Doves 3-1 in the final to clinch the cup.
