Hon Evelyn Anite, the State Minister for Investment and Privatization has asked youth to be careful as they choose their leaders in the forthcoming elections stating that its key in determining the future of the country.
Addressing employees of Simi Mobile in Namanve, Anite reminded the youth that the current peace in the country is a result of the efforts of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and that it should not be taken for granted.
“For those who have never seen what a war is, I will refer you to South Sudan- our neighbors. This area of Namanve industrial park was a forest that used to be a dark spot back in the years, many people were murdered and thrown here,” Anite said.
She added that Museveni, on top of restoring peace in the country, managed to turn Namanve, an area of 2200 acres, into an industrial park which has provided employment to many youth.
“My parents told me to appreciate all those who have done me great, if President has done for you anything good you, go and vote him on the 14th January 2021,” Anite noted.
The Minister said that she made these clarifications to remind the youth, who have made it a fashion trend to yearn for change, of Uganda’s history as far as peace is concerned.
