Volleyball: Egypt to Host 2019 Africa Club Championship


Egypt Volleyball Federation will host this year’s Africa Volleyball Clubs Championships in the city of Cairo.
In a letter sent out to different federations, Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) revealed that the Egyptian federation had been trusted to host a successful event.

“We have the pleasure to inform in the you that CAVB has entrusted Egypt Volleyball Federation the organization of the 2019 Men’s African Club Championship to be held in Cairo, Egypt from 30th March to 11th April 2019,” the letter read in part.

The men’s championship is slated for March 31-April 11.
The teams are expected to arrive by March 30 and the technical meeting on March 30.

Qualified teams are expected to register by sending to CAVB attached Registration Forms by 11th February 2019.
Participation fee for the clubs is USD 1,000.

Uganda will be represented by league winners Nemostars and national clubs championship winners UCU Doves.

The ladies’ championship will also be in Cairo and Uganda will be represented by league and national clubs championship winners Nkumba University.
