Four-time league winners Vipers Sports Club has continued to strengthen it’s squad in preparation for the upcoming 2020/2021 season.
The latest news from Kitende confirm that the Venoms have signed former Bright Stars midfielder Jamil Kaliisa, becoming the club’s third signing in the off-season.
The lanky midfielder was unveiled on Tuesday morning at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Kalisa, who had a year left on his contract with Bright Stars, has joined the league champions on a four-year contract that will keep him at the St Mary’s until 2024.
The towering player began his career at the National Sports Academy before joining Lungujja Galaxy in 2017. He then moved to the Stars at the start of the 2018/2019 campaign.
He is the club’s third signing after earlier confirmation of exciting acquisitions in former Express FC captain Disan Galiwango and midfielder Ibrahim Orit who joined from Mbarara City.
Vipers’ latest reinforcement comes in prior to a fully fledged season ahead filled with expeditions in the CAF Champions League, StarTimes Uganda Premier League, Uganda Cup, Fufa Super 8 and the Fufa Super Cup.
