Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers Sports Club has unveiled South Sudanese youthful right back Joseph Dhata.
The 18-year old teenager joins the Venoms on a four-year contract and will stay at the club until 2024.
Last year, he captained Buddo Secondary School helping them to win the National Post Primary Championship and East Africa Secondary Schools Football Tournament in 2018.
He has been training with the Kitende outfit since last year before the club acquired his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the South Sudan Football Association.
Dhata possesses several exciting attributes such as pinpoint crossing, acceleration, dribbling, tackling, stamina and excellent game reading that make him exceptional and the right piece to complete Vipers puzzle.
He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the window after early acquisitions in striker Jamil Kalisa, left back Disan Galiwango, plus midfielders David Bagoole and Ibrahim Orit.
At the four-time League winners, Dhata is expected to compete for a starting place with fellow right back Paul Willa.
