Tooro United will regret the reason why they did not tie Allan Kayiwa to a long-term contract.
The striker, who finished the Uganda Premier League season with eight goals, has crossed over to defending champions Vipers Sports Club.
Kayiwa has featured at the club since 2012 in the Tooro United –then called Soana- academy before graduating to the senior team.
However, the club has missed on cashing on one of their most valuable players after he left for free.
“We can confirm the signing of forward Allan Kayiwa from Tooro United,” Vipers unveiled.
“The tantalizing forward joins us from the then Fort Portal based club as a free agent on a two year deal thus becomes the first signing of Vipers in this transfer window.”
The striker was unveiled to his new teammates by the team’s head coach Michael Nam Ouma.
On arrival, Kayiwa expressed his joy and excitement in joining the Kitende-based club.
“I have made the best choice to join this great club, it’s my new home and am so excited to be here. I am ready for the new challenge as well,” he said.
