Uganda Premier League champions Viper SC have made several additions to their squad ahead of the new season.
With several players coming on board, the Venom had to let go off some players either on loan or for good.
The latest development from St.Mary’s stadium is that midfielder Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye has been sent out on loan to Police FC on a season long loan deal.
The club confirmed the move on its website indicating the Uganda U20 National team player has joined the cops.
Vipers sports club has agreed a loan deal for Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye to Police FC until the end of the 2018-19 season.
The reason for letting him go out on loan is to get more playing time given the stiff competition for numbers at Viper SC.
Tumwesigye who was promoted from Vipers Junior team had to be an understudy for Moses Waiswa,Tom Masiko and Brian Nkuubi and even when he got time to play, he was employed on the flanks.
He becomes the third player from Vipers SC to join Police FC in this transfer window. Hassan ‘Gaata’ Kalega and Ashraf ‘Fadiga’ Bamuturaki are the other players that have already crossed to the Kibuli based side.
Last season, left back Aggrey Madoi also from Vipers SC played on loan at Police FC.
With the departure of Rahmat Ssenfuka, Gift Ali while Albert Mugisa will not start the season due to an injury, the trio will be looked at as direct replacements to fill the voids.
