Vipers Mutually Part Ways with Striker Janjali

Kitende based Vipers Sports Club have on Friday decided to let go of center forward Janjali Joseph on mutual agreement.

Janjali joined the Uganda Premier League reigning Champions in 2018 from newly promoted UPDF FC signing a three-year contract deal.

After failing to beat competition in the team’s starting lineup, the diminutive forward and Masaza Cup graduate was later loaned to Bright Stars FC last year.

Before completing his loan deal, he had made five league appearances with the Venoms managing just one assist.

Janjali spent the whole of last season at Bright Stars and finished the season as their leading top scorer with six goals and seven assists from 23 games helping the club to survive relegation.

Before his top flight league experience, he featured for Buddu (2015) and Gomba (2017) helping the latter to clinch the triumph and claiming the golden boot in the same competition.

Janjali who walks out of St Mary’s Stadium with a year left on his contract becomes the second player to be officially released after left back Duncan Senninde.

Also, striker Fahad Bayo was sold off to Israel based club Ashdod FC on undisclosed transfer fee penning a four-year contract deal.
