Maroons Football club and Viper Sports Club played out to barren stalemate in a pre-season friendly game played on Tuesday Prisons ground in Luzira.
With both sides in final preparation stages ahead of the new league that gets underway in to weeks’ time, either side opted to test the new players they have acquired.
The Prison warders had former SC Villa goalkeeper Asadhu Bugembe, William Wadri and Ivan Wani(from Jinja SS) all feature in the game.
On the other hand, Vipers tested out Yayo Lutimba, Tadeo Lwanga and Moussa Mbayi among others.
The two sides seemed blunt in terms of being offensive with the two goalkeepers not bothered most of the time.
Despite Congolese forward Mbayi proving a thorn in the foot for Maroons defense especially in aerial challenges, the trio of Rihard Ayiko, Maxwell Okello and Allan Anguyo remained resilient.
Wadri on the other hand made a few attempts but still were not strong enough to bother James Alitho in Vipers goal.
Vipers begin the 2017/18 campaign with an away fixture against Bright stars while Maroons will make a short trip to Lugogo to play against defending champions KCCA FC on 12th September.
