A video showing police breaking into MP Robert Kyagulanyi’s car has been released.
Bobi, together with some youth had tried to force their way to One Love Beach in Busabala, which has since been sealed off by security forces, only to be intercepted by police.
Police signaled Bobi to disembark the car but chose to stay in the back seat of the car.
The anti-riot police personnel can be seen using gun butts to smash the windscreen of the Prado Tx brand car in which Bobi was being chauffeured to the beach.
After breaking the glass, Bobi was forcefully removed from the car before being escorted back to his residence in Magere, Wakiso district.

This is not the first time police are using such force to arrest opposition politicians.
The law enforcement body on April 28, 2011 smashed opposition leader Kizza Besigye’s car windscreen at Mulago roundabout during the walk to work protests.
Teargas was sprayed into the car before Besigye was plucked out of the car.
Bobi’s arrest sparked off protests in Busabala which security forces contained using teargas.
Police yesterday blocked the planned Kyarenga Extra Concert, saying promoters had previously failed “to adhere to the stricter safety guidelines and site infrastructure concerns,” leading to “overcrowding, theft and violation of traffic rules”.
