Victoria Cup: Rugby Cranes Team To Face Zimbabwe Named, Kenyan Referee Assigned Duty

The Uganda Rugby Cranes team will be facing Zimbabwe in the Victoria cup this Saturday 27th July at the Legends Rugby grounds.

The team’s head coach Robert Seguya has already named his 23-man-squad for the tie.

The coach also confirmed that Charles Uhuru will deputize Asuman Mugerwa as captain because Brian Wathum is injured and won’t be part.

Kenyan referee Victor Odur will be at the centre of action of the match.

This will be Uganda’s third match after playing Kenya on two legs in the Elgon Cup which, due to financial reasons, results will be used in the Victoria Cup.

The cup is contested by Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The Cup is named after Lake Victoria in Kenya and Victoria Falls which were named in honor the reigning Queen Victoria and her great grandmother.

On the same day, Saturday 27th, Zambia will be hosting Kenya in Lusaka.
