The Court of Appeal has adjourned the hearing of an appeal in which Mrs. Uwera Nsenga, the widow of late Juvenal Kananura Nsenga challenges both her conviction and sentence by High Court Judge Duncan Gaswagga.
Mrs Uwera was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the high court judge for the murder of her husband.
In the Notice of adjournment dated 15th March 2019, signed by the Assistant Registrar of court of appeal Ayebare Tumwebaze and addressed to Nsenga’s lawyers of Mpanga and company Advocates, the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and Nsenga indicates that this matter which was scheduled to take place today had been pushed to the next session.
“Take notice that the hearing of the above appeal hitherto scheduled for 21/03/2019 has been adjourned to next session” Ayebare remarks
In the same letter the Assistant Registrar informed the parties in this matter that they will be informed when time comes.
In September 23 2014 High court judge Duncan Gaswaga convicted Uwera Nsenga for murdering her husband Juvenal Nsenga when she ran over him while driving a vehicle at their home in Bugolobi Kampala in January 2013.
