In a bid to return to ‘where they belong’, URA FC has strengthened their squad with seven new additions.
Currently seated in 7th, the tax collectors gathered 20 points in the first round of the Uganda Premier League.
Club Chairman James Kiiza told the media in a press briefing held at Namboole that its now time for the Club to move some places above:
“This is not where we belong as a club, as we head towards the second round, all our efforts will be combined to achieve the top spot.”
Making the headlines is Herman Wasswa who comes with outside exposure from Lusaka Dynamos, a Club in Zambia.
Veteran forward Charles Odeke joins the club on a two year contract, his last stint was at Masavu FC.
Goalkeeper Sadrach Ssebulime from City Lads is among the unveiled players.
“We are delighted to have finally secured the services of the above players and we believe that they have all the qualities to make an immediate impact at the club,” James Kiiza added.
URA FC Coach, speaking about the new signings, noted: “They are good acquisitions, and I hope that they add value in our tough campaign ahead.
The Club will open their second round with a trip across the Nile to face BUL FC at Kakindu Stadium.
