Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) defender Richard Kasagga will only have God to thank after surviving death on Monday morning.
The footballer was involved in a nasty motor accident on Easter Monday in Kira, Wakiso District sustaining several injuries on the head and arms.
Reports indicate the defender was heading for club training in Gayaza but a truck from the opposite direction rammed into his car damaging the front part.
Kasagga who survived death by a whisker was rushed to Maria Health Centre in Kira where he is currently receiving treatment.
The towering defender is a key figure in the heart of defence for the tax collectors since joining them two years ago.
He has previously featured for Kira Young and KCCA FC and as well played on the national team (Uganda Cranes ).
URA FC will play UPDF FC on Wednesday in Bombo.
