Four -time Uganda Premier League champions, URA Football Club have officially announced the capture of defender Faruku Katongole.
Katongole joins the Tax Collectors as a seventh signing of the window after bagging a one-year contract from FUFA Big League side Tooro United.
The towering defender expressed his delight upon completion of his transfer and believes that he will add on the quality and competition in the squad.
“I’m so excited to join one of the biggest teams in Uganda. URA really has some good defenders but I have come to add on the quality and competition on the squad. I know we have good players in Mbowa Patrick, Hudu Mulikyi, Nyakoojo Benjamin, and I have to work so so hard to get playing time,” Katongole told URA website.
The former Bright Stars player has been a major target for Sports Club Villa and Express FC but has opted for the Tax men.
He joins Jackson Nunda, Arafat Galiwango, Hannington Ssebwalunyo, Davis Ssali, Brian Nkuubi and Steven Mukwala who joined the club earlier this window.
