Instead, URA went ahead in the 29th minute through a beautiful ball from skipper, Shafiq Kagimu .
Vipers returned a better side in the second half pressing high in URA’s half but their efforts went begging.
The tax collectors stretched the margin to two at the hour mark this time, Victor Kiama
tapping in a ball that the Venoms defence had failed to deal with.
Hamis Kiiza pulled one for Vipers from the spot four minutes later.
Innocent Wafula had been fouled while trying to weave through URA’s defence in the box.
The hosts stepped up their efforts to find at least an equaliser but their visitors were determined to win the day.
With only three games left on their schedule, Vipers can only pray for the unlikely events of KCCA losing at least three of their remaining
KCCA just need to pick four points from a possible twelve to be confirmed champions.
URA, on the other hand cut their gap with the Venoms to four points.
