URA Arrests Kenyan with Stolen Car, Enroute to Congo

Tax governing body, viagra the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has Tuesday netted a Kenyan National with a stolen car as he made his way to Democratic Republic of Congo.

The development was revealed by the Authority in a statement released via their social media on Tuesday Afternoon.

“The enforcement team has intercepted a stolen Toyota Hilux, visit Reg. No. UAV 943 J at Obongi, Northern Uganda enroute to DR Congo,” the statement read in part.

“One of the suspects, a Kenyan passport holder is under arrest. The suspects are to face the Ugandan and Kenyan law authorities.”

According to the statement, the intercepted car was originally from Kenya under Reg. No. KCB 511U and red in color. The suspects reportedly altered both Registration number plates and the car’s color.

In another development, URA has raided a smuggler’s store in Busia District, Eastern Uganda, seizing 150 Jerrycans of concentrated Sulphuric Acid.

According to URA officials, each of the jerrycans seized contained 25 litres of 98.4 percent concentrated Acid.

The smuggler was also found with 6200 packaging bottles which were seized by the enforcement team.
