UPL: Vipers Up To Continue With Its Fine Form Against Proline

After kicking off the second leg of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a win, Vipers SC will StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo on Tuesday to take on Proline FC aiming for yet another win.

The Kitende based club head coach Edward Golola has urged his charges to be more focused as they travel to Lugogo.

“We know how desperately both teams need the three points but only one can get the best from this game,” Golola said before adding.

“The fixtures are as tight as you can see and we have cautioned the boys not to get so comfortable because we are not yet there,” he added.

Vipers are not good rovers to Lugogo as the most recent visit witnessed them lose their unbeaten run to KCCA FC.

Their last meeting with Proline also ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts in the Stanbic Uganda Cup last year.

“We beat them in the reverse fixture but they are now quite motivated and are also a good side when playing at home. It’s going to be an exciting encounter. But we are focused and are not ready to slip up,” Golola noted.

When the two sides met in the first round of the league at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende, Vipers won the game 1-0 courtesy of Fahad Bayo’s strike.
