BUL FC vs Vipers SC
FUFA Technical Centre
Wednesday, 19th December 2018
Vipers Sports Club make the trip to Jinja to face BUL FC well aware that the gap between them and current leaders KCCA FC is big.
The title race is clearly between the two teams and you wouldn’t want to give your rivals breathing space. At the moment, the Venoms are six points behind KCCA FC albeit with three games in hand.
The target therefore ahead of Wednesday’s game for Vipers SC will be to try and bridge the gap and thus manager Javier Martinez Espinoza is optimistic his team will go and fight for three points.
” We are competing on two ends, that’s on the continent and then in the league. So we want to remain in contention on both ends. We know BUL FC is a good team but we shall go and fight for all three points,” he said.
Jinja has been a bad hunting ground for Vipers SC winning just three of the 19 games played in the lake town.

BUL FC on the other hand have had a fair run under coach Peter Onen this season, currently 6th on the table with 19 points.
Despite throwing away a two goal lead in the Jinja derby against Kirinya Jinja over the weekend, Onen is confident his troops have now recovered well and ready to face Vipers SC.
Hamisi Tibita is still a doubt but Yunus Sibira who was on bench on Sunday is likely to return to the starting team.
