URA FC 0-0 Police FC
Police FC held to URA FC to a goalless draw in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
The entertaining draw saw both sides create scoring opportunities but non managed to put the ball at the back of the net.
The hosts will have clinched maximum points but Saidi Kyeyune missed from the spot, after Devis Bigala had handled the ball in the area before the hour mark.
Police will at the other end, have shot stopper Devis Mutebi to thank: He kept out Vitalis Tabu’s freekick with a reflex save before denying Moses Sseruyide attempt ealier in the first half.
URA had the best chaces of the game and coach Sam Ssimbwa will have his players to blame. Saidi Kyeyune, Odongo Johnson, Peter Lwasa all missed from point black range.
The best chances for the visitors fell to Juma Balinya but he was denied by Keeper James Alitho in both stanzas. The kewpee who was named man of the match, saved from his near post to keep URA in the game in the 65th minute.
This is URA’s sixth draw this season, the fifth in a row. The side has also registered four consecutive goalles draws.
URA are eigth on the log with 12 points. The team is still umbeaten from eight games, with only two wins.
The point leaves the Peace Keepers in ninth spot with 11 points from eight attempts.
Next for URA is a home game against Tooro United as Police will face Mbarara City in Lugogo.
