Tooro United 1-0 Maroons
Tooro managed to pick maximum points against Maroons in one of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played on Friday.
Simon Sserunkuma scored from the spot, after Allan Kayiwa was brought down in the area in the 11th minute, for the hosts to win 1-0 in Buhinga Stadium.
The Visitors who came into the game on the back of their second league win, against Nyamityobora, couldn’t mount a come back.
Tooro Captain Mike Kawooya was named the Pilsner Man of the match. He scoops Sh100,000.
This is the third victory, second in Buhinga, for Tooro United who remain 11th on the log with 13 points. Tooro recently picked their victories against BUL and Nyamityobora FC.
The loss is the sixty for Maroons who have so far collected 10 points from a possible 36, this season.
Tooro will return to action on December 29 against Vipers in Kitende, per the fixture.
Coach George Best Nsimbe’s charges will look to bounce back when they take a trip to Bombo to face Ndejje University on December 29 at the Arena of Visions.
