UPL: The Stats You Must Know As Express Visit Bright Stars

Tuesday, November 13

Bright Stars Vs Express FC, 4:30 PM

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League returns for matchday eight with three games on the card this Tuesday.

All eyes will be in Mwererwe at Champions Stadium as free-scoring Bright Stars lock horns with rejuvenated Express FC.

The visitors come into the game with terrific form: sixth on the log with 12 points, unbeaten in their last five league engagements.

However, Kefa Kisala’s charges will have to put behind the woes they faced at Wankulukuku as they drew one all with defending champions Vipers.

Express felt hard done by after the officials let Tito Okello, who was offside, score to level matters late in the game for Express to drop two points.

Against Bright Stars, the Red Eagles will face a tricky Fred Kajoba side who will be led by talisman Nelson Ssenkatuka.

The pacey forward has scored five league goals so far and will look to improve on this tally against the Betway sponsored outfits.

Bright Stars

The hosts are third on the log with 14 points from seven games. Bright Stars has won four, drawn twice and lost once in the league this season.

Bright Stars have scored the most number of goals in the league this season, 13.

Seven of the 13 Bright Stars goals have come at Mwererwe. The tally is a joint high this season. BUL and Mbarara have also scored 7 goals at home.

Bright Stars last lost a league game at home last season when they fell to KCCA FC 1-2 in May early this year.

Express FC

Express FC has scored seven goals on the road this season, only Vipers (8) have scored more.

The Red Eagles are yet to draw a league game this season. Paidha, Police and Ndejje are the other sides to be involved in a draw.

If they win by a two goal margin, Kisala’s side can go top if Mbarara and BUL share spoils in Kakyeeka.

Head to Head:

Last season at Mwererwe, Nelson Ssenkatuka scored a brace as the hosts won 2-1.

Express has won three times, lost twice and drawn five times against Bright Stars in their last ten league games.

There has been four goalless draws in the last five seasons in this meeting in the tip flight.
