StarTimes Uganda Premier League
URA FC Vs Nyamityobora FC
Mandela National Stadium
Friday, 2nd November 2018
Nyamityobora FC have had a sloppy start in their maiden campaign in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League failing to march the other clubs.
Besides, the 2-1 win against rivals Mbarara City FC, the Banyakare have been far from impressing and currently languish in the drop zone, second from the bottom on three points.
Ahead of the game against URA FC on Friday at Mandela National stadium, Nyamityobora FC will be hoping to offer something different to earn a positive result.
They take on a URA FC side that have not won their last two( 1-1 vs Maroons FC and 0-0 vs SC Villa) but are still unbeaten and just conceded once in their five games.
James Odoch served as assistant coach at URA FC two years ago believes he has the potential to unlock the tax collector’s back line.
” We have not been performing well and the start has not been good for us. I know URA FC under Sam Ssimbwa is hard to break but I believe we have the potential to go against them.” Odoch said.
He is however bothered with how his team defends, failing to keep a clean sheet in all the five games they have played.
” We still need to improve on the way we defend because it has let us down. That’s what we have tried to work on in the last few days and I hope there will be an improvement against URA FC.”
Cameroonian defender Calvin Barni returns from injury and is expected to walk back straight into the starting team.
Patrick Gonahasa, Joseph Akandwanaho, Ibrahim Dada and Charles Musiige have all been on the score sheet this season. Nyamityobora FC will therefore bank on the aforementioned quartet to look for goals.
On the other hand, URA FC have had mixed results since the start of the season winning twice and drawing the other three.
Goalkeeper James Alitho was on top of his game against SC Villa and will maintain his place between the posts for the tax collectors.
Vitalis Tabu, Peter Lwasa and Joachim Ojera will take the responsibility of trying to look for goals.
