UPL: Struggling Express Up For Three Points against Mbarara City

Express’ only target is to collect maximum points against Mbarara City when the two sides face off in the Star Times Uganda Premier League encounter at Luzira Prisons Grounds on Tuesday evening.

The Red Eagles kicked off the season poorly after losing 1-0 against BUL FC in the opening game, playing to a one-all stalemate with Bright Stars and losing their latest encounter 2-0 against Onduparaka to leave them with just one point.

Meanwhile, Mbarara City kicked off the season with a 3-0 win against Proline FC, lost 3-1 against SC Villa and drew 0-0 against Police FC.

The Red Eagles welcome back their custodian Tony Kyamera and Idris Kabonge from injuries while defender Emmanuel Baffoe and goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga remain sidelined with injuries.

Express’ head coach George Ssimwogerere will be hoping that his side should collect maximum points in order to ease himself from pressure coming from the club’s fans who no longer trust his services.

The two sides have met four times before with Mbarara City winning twice, Express registered only one win and the other one ended in a draw.
