Match Day 11
Paidha Black Angels vs Kirinya Jinja SS
Green Light Stadium, Arua
Tuesday 11th December 2018
Paidha Black Angels have had a torrid journey in their maiden appearance in the Uganda Premier League. In the ten games played so far, they have managed just one win and one draw.
The poor performance has sent the Zombo based side down to the base of the league and they will need to arrest the poor form if the target of staying afloat is to be realised.
Coming from a 2-1 loss to rivals Onduparaka FC in the West Nile derby, Paidha will hope to make amends against visiting Kirinya Jinja SS.
Muhammad Kisekka the coach believes they have been unlucky on many occasions not to pick points even in the games where they play well but hopes to overcome this.
” I think we have been unlucky on some occasions. The games against Onduparaka and Vipers SC, we have conceded very late hence failing to pick any point which would have counted.” he said.
” But I’m impressed that the performance has improved in the previous games. I believe the results will start coming. We shall try to make sure we get a positive result against Kirinya.”
On the other hand, Kirinya make the daunting trip to Arua high on confidence after edging past Express FC over the weekend.
Joel Madondo the club and league top scorer with seven goals hopes the team will be able to get another win.
” It was important that we got our first win at home against Express FC. So we come go to Arua hoping to replicate the same performance like we had on Saturday. ” he intimated to this website.
Kirinya Jinja SS have now gone four games without conceding a goal and head coach Charles Ayieko is delighted with the centre back pairing of Isaac Isinde and Douglas Muganga.
” We had issues with the defence at the start of the season leaking very many goals but I’m happy that with the experience of the two players, we have had stability. ” he indicated.
Kirinya Jinja SS is currently 9th on the league table on 14 points.
