Express FC Head Coach George Ssimwogerere remains firm despite poor start of the 2019/2020 season which triggered pressure from the club’s fans.
The Red Eagles lost 2-0 against Onduparaka on Saturday September 7th to mark Express’ second win of the season from three games, the other one ended in one-all stalemate with Bright Stars leaving them with just one point.
Adinho Gibson and Caesar Okhuti’s strikes in both halves forced the fans to start chanting ‘Ssimu Agende’ literally interpreted as Ssimwogerere should go, however the gigantic gaffer is still strong despite this storm.
“I have been in situation for quite a long time, nothing I worry about. If am here or not I should be myself,” Ssimwogerere said after the game before adding.
“It should take time to get what we want, they should be patient,” he added.
Despite a sloppy performance comprising of limited chances created against Onduparaka, Ssimwogerere is confident that his boys will pick up and perform well.
“They are playing good football, it’s a junior team with new 20 players who are still looking for a combination but hey will play,” he noted.
Express will visit Mbarara City FC on Tuesday September 10th in their next league which fans are not sure whether their team will be able to win it due to its poor performance.
