Mbarara City FC have a chance to return to the top of the table if they can get maximum points against Police FC on Friday.

The Ankole Lions have enjoyed fine form winning three successive games and unbeaten in four. Before KCCA FC and Vipers SC won last week, Mbarara City had ascended to the summit of the league.

It will be the target for Livingstone Mbabazi’s charges on Friday as they visit Police FC according to forward Paul Mucurezi.

The former KCCA FC player has been in scintillating form recently and believes they have what it takes to secure victory against the cops.

” We are in good shape and prepared for the game. We go into this game seeking to maintain the good run we have currently. I believe we have the ability to go out for maximum points,” he said.

Police FC themselves have equally been a revived side overcoming their sloppy start that saw them lose their opening three games in succession.

However, they have managed to turn around their fortunes and are now unbeaten in the last five, winning three and drawing twice.

Juma Balinya, Ashraf Mugume on loan from Vipers SC and Ronald Nyanzi will be the key figures for Abdallah Mubiru’s charges going forward.
