Maroons FC vs URA FC
Maroons Stadium, Luzira
Wednesday, 24th October 2018
Maroons FC have been a shadow of the themselves since the start of the season losing all their first three games.
Seven goals conceded and just three in return leaves the Prison Warders languishing in the relegation zone early into the season and piles more pressure on coach George ‘ Best’ Nsimbe.
Despite making several new signings at the start of the season including experienced players like Dan Wagaluka,Brian Majwega and Martin Mpuuga, Maroons FC have failed to get into shape.
After a 2-0 loss to Mbarara City FC over the weekend, the two time league champions return to action at home against a tricky URA FC who are the only team yet to concede a goal this season.
Maroons FC right back Eddy Kapampa Ssebiccu believes its high team returned to winning ways after a disappointing start.
” It is true we have struggled and the start has not been good for us but we need to refresh and start winning games. We have tried to rectify our mistakes and I hope we get back to our feet as early as possible. ” He told this website.
URA FC on the other hand have not been convincing in performance but at least have picked points and can only hope for improvement according to midfielder Shafik Kagimu.
” Winning gives you confidence and momentum. We may not have been convincing in terms of play but we keep improving every other day and that gives us belief as we visit Maroons FC.” Said Kagimu.
Three of the last four league meetings between the two sides have ended in stalemates with URA FC winning the other remaining game.
Maroons FC are bottom of the table with no point while URA FC on the other hand are 5th on seven points.
