UPL: Nyamityobora Set To Name New Coach

Uganda Premier League new entrants Nyamityobora are set to name a new coach to replace James Odoch.

Odoch parted ways with the club following a humiliating 6-1 loss to KCCA FC on Sunday. The result left the club second from the bottom with just four points.

“The club has not appointed Odoch replacement yet, but we will name a new coach before our next game,” hinted a source that preferred anonymity.

It is believed that the club is in advanced talks with Alex Isabirye.

If it all comes to pass, this will be Isabirye’s second stint at the club – He took charge of Nyamityobora for 12 games in the Big league where the club managed to finish second in the first round of the Rwenzori Group with 25 points, behind leaders Kitara FC.

He consequently dumped the club to rejoin top flight side Soana FC in January.

Jackson Mayanja and Charles Ayeikoh are the other coaches at the club’s radar.

Nyamityobora will return to league action on November 30, against SC Villa in Wankulukuku.
